EATS: Banana Oatmeal Squares!

Being on spring break from college is awesome, a whole week home with, for once, little to no work. Although being home is great, none of my friend’s college’s breaks fell at the same time as mine…

You know what that calls for … time to get a little crafty in the kitchen. (;


I found this super easy recipe on Pinterest, with a few tweaks and my own additions this was the outcome:

I like to call these bad boys banana oatmeal squares!


These things are awesome; not only did they take barely any time to make, but they turned out super delicious and very filling.


The ingredients this recipe calls for are:


1 cup rolled organic oats (I used Quaker Oats, because who has time for organic)IMG_2331

2 tablespoons peanut butter (if you want to feel extra healthy throw some organic peanut butter in there instead)IMG_2332


1-teaspoon vanilla extract


1 medium banana, mashed


I also used some crushed almonds and mini chocolate chips to add extra flavor!



The procedure is pretty simple, all you have to do is combine all of those ingredients into one bowl and mix them until your left with a sticky sort of dough. Next, take out about 2 tablespoons of dough at a time and create mini squares or rectangles- or if your feeling like an overachiever do some sort of strange shape- idk what you people are in to these days. Also make sure you use parchment or wax paper so they don’t stick to the bottom of your plate!


Next add the toppings onto your magnificent creations and pop em into the freezer or fridge for about a half hour, and then indulge!


This recipe is awesome because it’s quick, easy, and simple.
