Hey guys! Happy hump day, yet again. I figured I would give you all a much-needed “Kenzie-life-update” (as if you were really wondering what has been going on with my life lately).
Welp, this is my official second week of college classes and it’s safe to say that I am already swamped with work. I’m definitely nervous about keeping up with time for my blog, my Her Campus Chapter, as well as my school work this semester- but I am really trying my best, so bear with me!
I actually just successfully finished my first four-page paper last night, which is kinda lame but definitely an accomplishment for me! It’s crazy how much I despise writing for assignments, but love writing for my blog.
Besides the crazy amount of homework, I have also been having some fun lately!
Just last weekend I went hiking in the Catskill Mountains with my two fabulous friends, Sophia and Taryn. We went on this hike with my college’s “Outdoor Adventure Club” and it was actually a lot of fun! I have hiked a few times before but never to this extent, this was a 5-6 mile hike and was definitely a little bit more “mountain-y” than I am used to. After the hike we decided to splurge (; and spend two dollars to go paddle boating! Here are some pictures of our awesome day:
That Sunday Rob and I decided to go on a little adventure ourselves! After driving for about a half hour to forty-five minutes, we came across this beautiful body of water and did some homework there for a few hours. Believe it or not, this is actually considered a pond even though it is massive!
Rob had some fun swinging around the rope while I had a wonderful (sarcasm) time reading my Shakespearean play that was assigned for my ELIT class.
Last week was also a very happy week for me because Pumpkin Spice Lattes came back! These are hands down my all time favorite Starbucks drink and I am so so excited to start sippin’ on them along with all of the other delicious drinks that Starbucks comes out with in the fall! I am however, going to make sure I limit myself to only one or two PSL’s a week, because the calories in these bad boys are insane!
I am also trying my best to stay away from my college dorm! We don’t have any air conditioning in our buildings and oh man is this heat kickin’ my butt! I know I’ll regret this in a couple weeks but I honestly wish it could just get a little bit colder out so I can stop feeling like I’m going to melt every time I set foot in my room!
The rest of my day today entails getting a ton of more homework done as well as taking a much-needed nap! I hope this update wasn’t too boring for you guys, and as always- I hope you have an amazing day!
P.S- I have been having a huge debate whether or not I should purchase L.L Bean Boots or Sperry Duck Boots for this winter season! If any of you have some opinions on either of these shoes please let me know in the comments below 🙂
