If you read this post, you would know that my friends and I took a road trip down to Ocean City, Maryland last week. My friends Alessia, Alex, and I drove down to OC to visit our friend Haley. Haley actually goes to school in a different part of Maryland but is staying in Ocean City for the summer.
We only went for a few days because we all had to take off of work to go, and like any job, it’s tough to take too much time off. Our lil’ vacation basically consisted of the beach and lots of food. I wanted to write this quick blog post to recap our few days away and of course the food that we ate.
On Monday, we arrrived in OC at around noon. We headed straight to the beach and spent most of the day there. For lunch we went to a cutesy cafe that served primarily wraps and paninis, I had a jerk chicken wrap but sadly forgot to take a picture of it 🙁
Tuesday was another beach day. We did go to an awesome restaurant for breakfast though! We went to a restaurant called, Bad Monkey, and it was SO good. Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day and I love love love to go out to restaurants for it. We all opted to get the “Funky Monkey” for breakfast, which was basically a giant plate of home fries, eggs, homemade toast, and pancakes. I have to say that my favorite thing about this restaurant was the complimentary monkey bread that came with our meals- SO TASTY!
Tuesday night we checked out the boardwalk and hung out at the house for a bit. We were all exhausted from the beach and went to bed pretty early.
We also got some fabbbbbbb ice cream. Apparently, Dumsers (not to be confused with dumpsters), is the only place that sells ice cream in Ocean City. There were literally 5 different Dumsers in like a 15-mile radius. We went one day to the beach and I opted for some mint oreo ice cream. Haley got soft serve (lame) and Alessia got peanut butter chocolate chip.
Naturally, we got acai bowls Wednesday for breakfast. This isn’t surprising at all because I spend all of my money on these bowls almost once a week. I can’t help it, they are just so good!
After stuffing our faces with fruity goodness we headed to the town where Haley goes to college. She gave us a tour of her school and we ended up grabbing a quick lunch and ate it at her house.
All in all, we had a great time! I love exploring new places and going on different adventures. Have you ever been to OC, did you like it?!
