For those of you who don’t know, I am currently a student at the college of SUNY Oneonta. This wonderful college is located in upstate New York- with that being said, if you live near or in upstate New York, you would know that the winter months get pretty cold!
Last year was my first experience with Oneonta’s harsh winter and boy was I taken for a loop. Although wearing a sweatshirt and sweatpants to class every day is my ideal outfit, sometimes it’s nice to dress up and feel good about yourself! Believe it or not, there are tons of ways to still look cute even when the temperatures are in the negatives!
Lately my Pinterest game has been pretty strong (I mean really though, when is it not!?) and I have been pinning warm weather outfits to no end! I know that I should be enjoying the last few weeks of summer but as crazy as it sounds, I do enjoy the cold (sometimes). But I mean c’mon can you blame me? Cold weather stands for yummy Starbucks holiday drinks, school snow days, and of course the beginning of snowboarding season!
My go to winter clothing articles are usually flannels, sweaters and scarfs- oh and let’s not forget leggings! Which by the way, PLEASE comment below if you know of somewhere that I can purchase leggings that don’t become see through :). Anyway, I love flannels and sweaters because you can throw them over almost any outfit and be super cozy while still looking really cute. Scarfs are also a winter necessitie of mine because there is nothing I hate more than walking to class with the wind running down my neck. I recently discovered blanket scarfs last year and am OBSESSED with them; I highly reccomend.
I know it’s still warm out, but the winter will be here before we know it. Here are my top picks for warm weather outfits:
Hope this post will motivate some of you to push through those chilly days and dress extra cute! Be sure to follow me on Pinterest to stay updated with all of my winter outfit pins! What are your go to winter outfits?
