Ultimate Fall “To-Do” List

Ultimate Fall “To-Do” List- everything you need to do to have the best fall yet!

Okay, I know what you’re thinking … “it’s still technically summer!” I guess I just don’t think it’s summer anymore because I am not home to go to the beach or lay by the pool? But hey, I love the fall and can’t WAIT for it to finally be here in full swing. So bear with me on all of my upcoming “fall themed” posts.

Here is a list of a few awesome things to do during the fall season:

Pumpkin Picking:

What describes fall better than the infamous pumpkin picking with all of your besties?! I feel like this is something everyone has to do in the fall. Also, if you didn’t post a picture did you really go pumpkin picking? Okay, I’m just kidding but really, you can totally get the cutest pictures of yourself frolicking around the pumpkin patch! Going along with pumpkin picking, let’s talk pumpkin carving! I have never been one of those crazy good pumpkin carvers, but if you are one- kudos to you! Carving pumpkins with friends is just one more awesome thing to do in the fall!

Stock Up On Cold Weather Wear:

I don’t know about you guys, but I think that snuggling up in bed on cold/rainy days and doing some online shopping is the BEST thing ever. The fall up at my school is definitely one of the more “rainier” seasons, so you best believe I do a lot of online shopping in my free time (more like adding $100 worth of clothes into my cart and exiting out of the site because my bank account doesn’t want me to spend it). Anyways, my favorite clothing pieces to wear during the fall are flannels, boots, moccasins and of course big cozy sweatshirts!

Make Some Fall Drinks:

It is no secret that I am head over heels in love with Pinterest. Nothing makes me happier than scrolling through a ton of fall pins! One of the more prominent types of pins that I have been seeing lately is cute fall drink recipes! After all, spending 5 dollars on a PSL once a week can get really pricy! Here are my top 3 fall drink recipes that I found on the good ol’ Pinterest:

Go For A Hike:

What better time of the year to go on a hike than the fall? I definitely plan on going on a hike as the fall comes closer because the changing leaves would be absolutely gorgeous. One thing my college is known for is the beautiful scenery that surrounds it during the fall; so I can’t wait to go on some hiking adventures! After all, I might as well cherish all of the fall beauty before it gets to cold to go outside!

Go To Town With Friends:

This definitely varies depending on where you live, but it is so much fun to go window-shopping (#brokecollegestudentprobz) and sip on some hot chocolate with your friends while walking through town! I recently found an amazing coffee shop in my college’s town and it is to DIE FOR. I can’t wait to go back there with some friends and have lunch!

Attend A Pumpkin Carving Festival:

Although I have yet to attend one of these, I’m going to make an effort to go to one this year! If you are unsure of what a pumpkin carving festival is, it is usually just (some places do it different than others) a field or walk through a TON of really detailed, carved pumpkins. It sounds WAY lamer than it actually is, but I promise it looks really cool!

Here are a few of the festivals I found:

Norwich Pumpkin Festival

Cortland Pumpkin Fest

Walter’s Farm Pumpkin Fest

South Jersey Pumpkin Show

Hudson Valley Pumpkin Fest

Bainbridge Gardens Pumpkin Walk

Take Pictures:

I know I am not the only Instagram addict out there! If you love Instagram, or even taking pictures in general, the fall is the perfect time to do so! The scenery during the fall is so beautiful, you might as well have your camera with you 24/7!

I hope this post inspires some of you to go out during the fall season and have fun! What is your favorite thing to do during the fall?
