Not sure about you guys, but my weekend was pretty jam-packed. I was able to get off work Friday, Saturday AND SUNDAY. This never happens!
O N E: Obviously the excitement about getting off work called for a much needed photo shoot with my beautiful dog. (You can really tell how much free time I had on my hands)-
T W O: Haley and I were invited to our best friend Alex’s house out in the Hamptons for the weekend. We went out there to celebrate Alex’s 19th birthday! For some reason the age of 19 still sounds super old to me, which is really weird considering that in just a few months I’ll be a 19-year-old grandpa as well. But that’s beside the point.
We hung out all day Saturday in the pool and relaxed. I got some much-needed color and it was nice to have a relaxing summer day; the weather was absolutely beautiful.
We ended Saturday night with a nice dinner as well as the obvious candles and cake for Alex’s birthday:
Can we just talk about this s’mores cake?! It was made out of cake rolled up into toasted marshmallow, gram cracker crumbs, cinnamon, and melted Nutella!
T H R E E: Sunday, Alex’s birthday! Wooooo! Anyways, we had a relaxing morning and went to this really nice restaurant for brunch. Still wondering if brunch actually means lunch for breakfast or breakfast for lunch? …. Or just breakfast and lunch at the same time? – This whole concept really is beginning to boggle my mind.
This was Strawberry Almond French Toast, OMG it was to die for!
Because Haley had work mid afternoon Sunday, we got home at around 2 o’clock pm.
F O U R: Grammy’s birthday present!
My Grammy has never had her ears pierced prior to this day, crazy I know. So for her birthday, I brought her to get them pierced. This was quite the experience considering how much shock she was in after she got them pierced. They ended up looking beautiful though, and I’m super happy that she went through with getting them done.
F I V E: Sunday night was relaxing as anything. I decided to take a bath (this happens like once in a blue moon) and lounged for the rest of the night. I also participated in Kayla’s #BloggingCollege Twitter chat! These chats are so much fun and are such a great way to connect with other bloggers. Kayla always does such a good job with these chats, you should totally join in on the up and coming chat which will be taking place next Sunday! P.S you should all follow me on Twitter 😉 @kenzienegron
What did you guys do this weekend? Hope you have an awesome start to the new week! 🙂
