Can we just take a minute to think about the fact that it is already AUGUST?! Seriously, I feel like summer has been flying by. I go back up to college in only 25 days! Even though I have a lot to do to prepare for next semester, I’m trying to spend as much time as I can with my family and friends while I’m still home. Going along with that, this weekend was jam-packed with so many amazing memories, which were spent with some of the best people in my life. I feel like every time I was doing something, I was thinking, “I can’t wait to blog about this!” in the back of my head.
For starters, Friday morning my mom and I went to a spa. Keep in mind; I have never been to a spa before (so this was a big deal for me). I got an 80-minute hot rock, aroma, deep tissue massage (you’re probably jealous, I’m sorry) and my mom got a hydro facial. I had never been to a spa prior to this so it was such a relaxing experience. I wish I had some pictures, but we had to leave our phones in the changing room before we left for the actual spa 🙁 . If you’re feeling like splurging, I totally recommend taking a spa day for yourself; those hot rocks were BOMB.
Soooo, next up: Friday night. All week my boyfriend had been telling me to keep my Friday night clear, and that we were going somewhere- but it was a surprise. I have a love/hate relationship with surprises so after a whole week I couldn’t wait to just find out what we were doing. The long waited surprise ended up being tickets to a Met’s game that night! I was so excited (I love going to baseball games) and had such a fun time.
Can we just look at how cute he is?!
I also went to the Mall this weekend and finally bought myself a new agenda! I have been using a Lilly for a pretty long time but wanted to start fresh for the new semester. I got the Kate Spade one and am OBSESSED. It is so beautiful and I guess “clean” would be the best way to describe it. It doesn’t have as much going on as the Lillys do. I also bought the cutest little earring holder from Anthropologie! I could buy everything in this store, but sadly, my bank account doesn’t agree with that.
Can you guess which one of these days is my birthday? 😉
And now for the best part of the whole weekend…
I got offered the opportunity to start a Her Campus Chapter at my school this up coming semester! I am so ecstatic about this and can’t wait to lead my team. It is so rewarding to finally see some of my hard work paying off. By the way, if any of you run/ are part of a Chapter at a school please let me know! I would love to have some insight about it from a fellow blogger 🙂
How was your weekend? I hope you all have a beautiful Monday and are enjoying the last month of summer!
