We all know that feeling, when you wake up on Thanksgiving morning and one hundred percent have come to terms with the fact that you will probably consume your whole body weight in food in the near future.
Thanksgiving food is the best food, I don’t think anyone can deny that. The only thing better than eating Thanksgiving food on Thanksgiving is eating Thanksgiving food for the next week via the magical, leftover.
Here are the top reasons as to why Thanksgiving leftovers are the best leftovers:
-The array of different Thanksgiving foods go together so nicely, so why not plop a little bit of stuffing, turkey, cranberry, yams, and green beans on a sandwich and call it a day? If we’re being honest, it’s all basically going to the same place anyway… #TMI
Pie For Breakfast.
-What’s better than pie for dessert? Pie for breakfast.
-Thanksgiving is great because it’s an opportunity to hang out with family and spend some much needed time at home after being away at school for so long. However, being home from school is also a great time to hang out with your friends that you haven’t seen in a while. Coming together with your friends and eating leftovers is the perfect opportunity to have a “friendsgiving”. Plus, what’s better than having two Thanksgivings in a row?
On The Go.
-You can’t tell me that you don’t enjoy a nice turkey leg when you’re running late to something. But really, in all seriousness, turkey legs are extremely convenient when you’re hungry and need to grab something on the go.
Sit-Down Meals Are Underappreciated.
-It’s super easy to take a quick Taco Bell run or settle for an EasyMac when it comes to eating dinner in college. Being able to come home for Thanksgiving and take some time to sit-down with your family and enjoy your meal is such a nice feeling.
